Mrs. Faezeh Makhlooghiazad gives a demonstration of her professional laboratory environment. In this video, she is constructing a small-scale example of a Sodium Battery, using Na metal for both the cathode and anode.

The Samsung battery incident

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is a discontinued smartphone, notorious for catching fire and in some cases exploding. This was due to improper Lithium battery design and testing, and as a result caused a much needed rethink of how to approach safely integrating volatile metals in household batteries.
